Last week we attended the Maps exhibit at the Field Museum. There was a remarkable variety of maps on display. One personal favorite was Lindbergh's chart for his trans-Atlantic flight. Sections of maps from New York to Paris assembled together in a sweeping arc about six feet wide. I knew exactly what it was as soon as I saw it. When I was a kid, Lindbergh's flight was still a big deal, 40+ years on, at least to me.
My father's spirit permeated the exhibit. He would have loved it - and, through us, he did.
